Celebrating Women's Equality Day8/26/2018   1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Text ...On Sunday, August 26th we will be celebrating Women's Equality Day which was first recognized in 1973 after being proposed by Congresswoman Bella Abzug in 1971. It still is recognized every year, but only by proclamation each year by the President. Let's celebrate 1973 style - with re-enactments, music and displays. Two area Girl Scout troops will be on hand to present a project they've been working on and to host a Suffrage Badge workshop for any interested Girl Scouts. FREE and open to the public.
