Views About Glens’ Falls

Excursion 19771320501.jpg

Stopped by Union School No. 1 on Glen Street, a coach transports a group of young women who are headed out on an excursion, ca. 1880. (Note the large number seated on top, which afforded the best view.

On exhibit through October 27, 2019

This small exhibit of Seneca Ray Stoddard original photos features street scenes of the 1870s and 1880s.  Included are images of the main commercial district, as well as residential streets and landmarks.  Of special note are rare views of the first Catholic church and Elmwood Academy.
