In this dressing demonstration, historical costumer Caitlin Sheldon will discuss all of the layers of clothing that women in the late 19th & early 20th century wore to achieve the look that was desired at the time. Sheldon will also discuss how suffragists used clothing to communicate their cause. Some original garments from different decades will be shown, along with reproduction garments that the presenter will wear to demonstrate their function and how they move.
